Waiting in Vain

It's April and the phrase "I bought a one way ticket to Lima, Peru," is still just as exciting as ever. Explaining this, however, comes with difficulty for some people who want to know all the logistics and plans. "I have none," just seems too vague for some.

All I know now, is on September 10 (I think that's the day), my friend Shay and I are flying to Peru. So far, I have a water purifier and a new backpack. A nice, waterproof but still inexpensive tent is yet to be discovered. My "research" so far has consisted of skimming through a fancy tour book of South America and conversations with people who have travelled in South America before.

So for now, I'm leaving what happens mostly up to destiny.
